We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist for our client, the biggest IT distributor in the world.

The company has built a strong data analytics capability, focused on creating predictive insights, automation of business processes and personalization of partner interactions. A crucial building block of their services is a comprehensive data insight into the market trends and opportunities.

Collaborates with the world's largest technology companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Cisco, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Dell, Amazon, Autodesk and many others.

About the team:

You will be part of a European Data Practice centre of excellence, which interconnects business needs with exceptional data solutions. The team has around 30 individuals of 9 nationalities with diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including telco, banking, insurance, life sciences, or physics.

We tackle problems from many different areas such as:

• Data processing and interpretations (building worldclass Customer Data Platform with billions of interpreted data points using data from hundreds of internal and external data sources),
• marketing (delivering highly targeted and personalized automated marketing campaigns),
• sales automation (improving customer journey of every partner to help them make their business more efficient and effective).
• pricing (optimizing our pricing strategies to deliver the best experience to our channel partners),
• operations (making our processes more effective to drive even better customer experience),
• e-commerce (perfecting customer experience with product recommenders, content, personalization, etc.).

In this role you will be:

• Applying data science methods and data analytics to real-world business situations across a variety of business scenarios in technology distribution industry,
• collaborating with our business colleagues on business scenarios E2E, starting from definition of business problems and opportunities, through solutioning, development, deployment, and impact evaluation,
• writing clean, production-ready well-documented code,
• participating on design, implementation, refactoring, and maintenance of existing and future data products,
• obsessed with quality and on-time delivery,
• 100 % of work on real use cases, with significant business use (no POC’s without use).

The skills & knowledge you bring include:

• 5+ years in machine learning, data science & analytics or equivalent experience,
• demonstrated ability to find solutions for business challenges,
• working knowledge of Python, including data processing, analytical and machine learning libraries (NumPy, Pandas, PySpark, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow etc.),
• advanced knowledge of SQL,
• proficiency in designing, implementing, and supporting data products in a production environment,
• proactive and self-motivated,
• sharp business and interpersonal skills, ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas across all levels,
• attention to details and next-level problem solving skills,
• hands-on experience with modern lake house architectures (Snowflake) and distributed computing systems (Spark/Databricks) is a plus,
• working knowledge of CI/CD, including but not limited to version control, testing, release management, monitoring & operation tracking (Azure DevOps) is a plus,
• experience with MLOps is a plus,
• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science or another STEM field is a plus.
