Lean Engineer - Manufacturing

Our partner, an international manufacturer of household goods, is now seeking Lean Expert to help them make production more efficient. You will be reporting to Engineering manager.
YOU WILL:
· Provide efficient support to Production to improve the processes and the productivity – through implementation of lean manufacturing principles, etc.
· Facilitate the planning and implementation of workplace flow & layout, equipment installations, modifications, and moves according to Lean concepts
· Stabilize the production processes
· Organize and measure the progress of improvement initiatives and ensure plant wide consistency, while adhering to company policies and safety standards
· Establish a problem-solving and improvement culture, primarily in our Engineering department
· roll out shop floor management routines and key performance indicators in supply chain management
· identify weaknesses and potential for improvement with the help of value stream mapping and other lean tools, among other things
· Lead workshops and projects for the sustainable improvement of relevant core key figures
· Train and coach managers, employees and improvement teams in the application of lean tools
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Technical secondary school or University degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business administration knowledge desirable
· Several years of practical experience in the introduction and practical implementation of lean management
· Ideally Six Sigma (Black Belt)
· Experience in analyzing and evaluating production data and other operational metrics
· Nice to have working knowledge of agile project management techniques including velocity calculations, scrums, etc
